This summer-long theme will explore biblical texts for how the gift of faith is shaped by the ages and stages of
life from birth to death. How does parenting imprint the nature of God onto young children? How do youth
come to a saving relationship with Jesus Christ? Why do so many young adults drift in their faith journey, and
why do older adults tend to come back home to church? Rather than follow the Revised Common Lectionary
on the planning calendar, this sermon series will build on key biblical stories undergirding a metaphorical and
metaphysical understanding of each stage of development.
