A CHRISTMAS TREE OF WARMTH

This year, a Christmas tree at Wayside Presbyterian Church was adorned with 100 gifts of warmth, consisting of: winter hats, gloves, scarves, sweaters, afghans, shirts, blouses, trousers and more.  It was a beautiful portrayal of a caring and sharing spirit.

The items were donated to “Hands Across the Street”, a community service organization within the Columbia Presbyterian Church.  They are very appreciative of the support they receive from Wayside and others in the community, as they expressed in their statements below.

“- - you are helping to make a difference in the lives of those utilizing the Columbia Winter Shelter, Future Generations After School Program, the Clothing Bank, the Community Meals, and our other programs which we serve the community.”

“We are truly grateful for people like you who support our missions so that we can serve those in need.”

“Again, many thanks for your thoughtfulness and compassion in helping to continue our Mission of Outreach Programs.”
